Veneers and crowns in Tbilisi from £131 per tooth
Ivoclar e.max® veneers and German multilayered zirconia crowns, milled in-house on CAD/CAM so there is no outside laboratory markup. A natural-looking smile — without filing healthy teeth down to stumps.
Veneers, crowns and the “Turkey teeth” problem
They look similar in a photo. What happens to your natural teeth is completely different.
A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth. It needs little or no reshaping of the tooth underneath, and it is the right choice for colour, small chips, gaps and shape. A crown covers the whole tooth and is used when a tooth is heavily filled, cracked, root-treated or sitting on an implant.
Much of what gets called “Turkey teeth” is full crowns fitted to healthy teeth for cosmetic reasons — each tooth filed down to a peg so a thick cap can sit over it. That reshaping is permanent, and it can lead to sensitivity, nerve damage and root canals later. We recommend the most conservative option that achieves the result, and we will tell you if veneers are enough.
Veneer or crown?
A quick guide. Your dentist confirms the right option from photos and an X-ray.
Discoloured or stained teeth
usually veneers — or whitening first, if that is enough.
Small chips, gaps or uneven edges
veneers, with minimal preparation.
Large fillings or cracks
a crown protects what is left of the tooth.
After a root canal
a crown, because root-treated teeth become brittle.
On a dental implant
always a crown, fixed to the implant connector.
Healthy teeth, cosmetic goals
we will not crown sound teeth just to change their look.

Veneer and crown questions
How much do veneers cost abroad?
In Tbilisi an Ivoclar e.max® veneer is £213 per tooth, fitted. The same veneer typically costs $1,100 to $1,800 privately in the UK or US. A set of eight upper veneers is therefore around £1,700 rather than $9,000 or more.
What is the difference between veneers and crowns?
A veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth and needs little reshaping. A crown covers the entire tooth and needs it to be reduced on all sides. Veneers suit cosmetic changes to healthy teeth; crowns protect teeth that are damaged, heavily filled or root-treated.
Will you file my teeth down?
Only as much as your result requires. Veneers usually need minimal preparation, sometimes none. We do not crown healthy teeth purely for cosmetic reasons, because that reshaping is irreversible and causes problems later.
How long do e.max veneers last?
Well-made e.max® veneers commonly last ten to fifteen years or longer with good care. Avoid using your teeth as tools, wear a night guard if you grind, and keep up regular check-ups and hygiene.
What is a Hollywood smile?
It is a marketing term for a full set of veneers or crowns across the visible teeth, usually in a very bright shade. We can create that look, but we will recommend a shade and shape that suits your face — and veneers rather than crowns wherever your teeth are healthy.
